Introduction to Geology

Service Description
Your students will be thrilled with this hands on class that promises something for everyone. We take your kids on a journey through time. They will get to see first hand all sorts of interesting rocks, fossils and crystal specimens from Quebec, Canada and from around the world.

This class is taught in tandem by a real world gemologist and a certified special educator.
1 classroom group per period . Maximum 5 to 6 groups per day
We handle all of the set up and clean up
Outdoor classroom set up during fall and spring is available at no extra charge.

The Science of Crystals

The Science of Crystals, students will learn about the different geometric crystal habits, how colour is created by diffusion or through light refraction and the everyday practical uses of crystal materials. Your class will interact with genuine crystal specimens, perform experiments and learn about how crystals are grown. Ideal for grades 4 through 9 (Secondary 3).

Your students will be thrilled with this hands on class that promises something for everyone. We take your kids on a journey through microscopes, polarized filters, UV lights, magnetism and more as they discover the fascinating world of crystals. They will get to see first hand diamonds, geodes, crystalline metals and rare gemstones from around the world.

This class is taught in tandem by a real world gemologist and a certified special educator.
1 classroom group per period . Maximum 5 to 6 groups per day
